Enrichment Opportunities

Waterloo Unlimited Grade 10 program | Theme of “Change” | Sunday, May 15 – Thursday, May 19, 2016  | Deadline extended

Waterloo Unlimited: A Canada-wide enrichment program for students of exceptional potential. High school students will experience lectures, seminars, workshops, labs and social time with faculty and students on campus at the University of Waterloo.

Grade 12 Program at The University of Waterloo

An immersive, pre-university experience focused on exploring cutting-edge research discoveries with professors, and the chance to engage with current student researchers. Also included: an introduction to the art and science of reading academic papers.

Grade 11 Program | Theme of Design | March 14 – 18,  2016

From engineering and the environment to science fiction and virtual reality, students will explore the theme of “Design” across disciplines.  Attending lectures, seminars, and workshops on the University campus, they will join a community of like-minded high school peers from across Canada as they learn the Design Process and its application.

Program fee: $450 includes meals
Supervised overnight shared hotel accommodation: $300

On June 15th Learning Disability Services at York University will be hosting a full day workshop for students in gr. 10, 11 and 12 and their families. This workshop is designed to help students and their families with planning and preparing for the transition to post-secondary to College or University.
